Daily Journal Creation Guide
Getting Started
The Daily Journal system allows you to record your work activities, including clock-in/out times and specific tasks performed. This guide will help you create accurate and detailed journal entries.
Important Note: You cannot create a new journal entry if you have an outstanding entry without a logout time. Complete any outstanding entries first.
Clock In/Out Times
- Clock In (Required): Enter your start time using the time picker or click the clock icon.
- Clock Out (Optional): Enter your end time if you're completing your shift. Leave blank if still working.
Tip: Use the clock icon for easy time selection on desktop devices.
Recording Work Activities
- Adding Work Lines:
- Click the green "+" button to add a new work entry field
- Use the "Select from saved worklines..." dropdown to quickly add common tasks
- Type your work description directly into the text field
- Managing Saved Worklines:
- Click "Manage Worklines" to open the management modal
- Add new common worklines for future use
- Remove outdated worklines using the delete option
- Removing Work Lines: Click the red "X" button to remove any unwanted entries
Adding Images
- Click "Add image" to attach photos to your journal entry
- Maximum of 5 images allowed per entry
- Images will be previewed before submission
- Use the red "X" button to remove unwanted images
Tip: Images are optional but can be helpful for documenting work progress or issues.
Submitting Your Entry
- Verify all required information is complete (clock-in time and at least one work line)
- Review your entries for accuracy
- Click the "Submit" button to save your journal entry
Note: After submission, you'll be redirected to the journal overview page. Your entry can be edited later if needed.
