Fire System Check Guide
Getting Started
The Fire System Check form allows you to record and document regular inspections of the building's fire safety systems. This guide will help you complete these important safety checks accurately.
Important Note: Fire system checks must be completed within the last 14 days. You cannot create entries for dates outside this range.
Date of Inspection
- Entry Date (Required): Select the date when the inspection was performed using the date picker
- The system only allows dates from the past 14 days up to today
Tip: Always complete the form on the same day as the inspection for the most accurate records.
System Components Check
- Fire Control Panel:
- Verify all indicators are operational
- Confirm they show correct locations
- Select Yes/No to indicate status
- Fire Alarm Sounders:
- Test alarm sounders for proper operation
- Confirm all units are functioning
- Break Glass Units:
- Enter the unit numbers being inspected
- Two different units must be checked each week
- Record operational status for each unit
Fire Door and Extinguisher Checks
- Fire Doors:
- Test door release closers
- Verify emergency position functionality
- Check keypad/lock release during alarm
- Fire Extinguishers:
- Check correct location of all units
- Verify proper securing
- Inspect for any damage
- Confirm correct pressure readings
Tip: Pay special attention to pressure gauges on extinguishers - they should be in the green zone.
Comments Section
- Use this section to document any defects found
- Record any corrective actions taken or required
- Can be left blank if no issues are found
Note: Always document any issues, no matter how minor they may seem.
Submitting the Check
- Review all entries for accuracy
- Check the confirmation box to verify the records are true and correct
- Click the "Create Fire System Check" button to submit
Note: The submit button will remain disabled until you check the confirmation box.
