Vacant Rooms Check Guide
Overview
The Vacant Rooms Check system helps maintain room quality standards by tracking and documenting the status of unoccupied rooms. This guide explains how to perform and record thorough room checks.
Important Note: All vacant rooms must be checked at least once per shift to ensure they remain in perfect condition for incoming guests.
Performing Room Checks
- Room Inspection: Thoroughly check each vacant room for:
- Cleanliness and housekeeping standards
- Maintenance issues
- Security concerns
- Proper inventory of room amenities
- Documentation: Record any issues or concerns found during inspection
Tip: Use the room checklist template to ensure consistent inspections across all rooms.
Creating Check Reports
- Report Details:
- Select the rooms checked from the available list
- Document the condition of each room
- Note any maintenance or housekeeping issues
- Add relevant comments about room status
- Adding Comments:
- Provide clear, specific descriptions of any issues
- Include room numbers and locations of problems
- Note any immediate actions taken
Editing Reports
- Access previous reports through the vacant rooms check menu
- Use the edit function to update comments or information
- Save changes to maintain accurate records
Tip: Always include the date and time when adding new comments to existing reports.
Report Submission
- Review all entered information for accuracy
- Ensure all checked rooms are properly documented
- Submit the report for supervisor review
Note: Reports cannot be deleted after submission but can be edited to add additional comments or updates.
